About

If you are going to choose me to help you on your journey, you need to know something about me. I graduated from Arizona State University in 1988 with my Masters of Counseling. So, I have been doing therapy for over 25 years. I have been located in Fullerton since 1991. I live and work in this community and love being here. I am married with two sons. and am very grateful to the three wonderful men in my life. In my striving to continue on my journey, I returned to school for my doctorate and received it in 2004.

However, my journey didn’t end with my going back to school. I am passionate about people receiving good therapy. In order to further that, I am honored to be teaching graduate students how to do therapy at Cal State Fullerton’s Counseling Department. I am also a certified EMDR therapist, a therapy that has helped to heal so many people. I am always reading journals, attending workshops and working to make sure that my knowledge is growing so that I can be as helpful as possible to the people who have chosen to work with me.

Some days are hard. Some are good. That is the reality of the world.  But the real question is how do you maintain your equilibrium if your world keeps changing? This is an important thing for all of us to work on. If every time something happens that is bad, or even sort of bad, you cannot fall apart. If the only time you are happy is when something good happens, this is also not good.

Feb 19 - Be Kind
Be cordial. Be kind. Be tactful. None of these are difficult concepts. We are taught them when we are young. Our pre-school teachers made sure that we followed these rules when we were but 2 or 3. And yet, many people appear to have forgotten these very simple rules.
